"Save Our Seeds" (SOS) was founded in 2002 as the Berlin office of the Future Foundation for Agriculture in GLS Treuhand e.V. The initiative is also a European campaign to keep seeds free of genetically modified organisms (GMO) and to defend non-GM agriculture and food production. On this issue, Save Our Seeds is the “competence center” of civil society movements in Europe that are critical of genetic engineering, and a point of contact for politicians, companies, regional governments and the media.
